•Who are Ginny Brown & the Collective?

Ginny Brown & The Collective are one of Nottinghamshire’s finest live wedding and function bands playing an eclectic mix of Funk, Soul and Disco classics from the 70s through to modern day.

We are a 5 piece group, with female lead vocals, and it is our job to provide you with a very high standard of live music to keep your guests dancing the night away!

Professionalism is key as far as we are concerned, so once you have booked Ginny Brown & the Collective for your special day, you can rest assured that all your live entertainment will be taken care of, so you do not have to worry!

•What are your rates?

Our quotes are based upon a standard evening performance, playing no later than 12pm.

Please let us know of any specific timetable and agenda for your occasion, and we will endeavour to fit in with your preferred requirements

Travel expenses are calculated and added to the fee if the venue is outside of Nottinghamshire. For distances further than 2.5 hours from Nottinghamshire, overnight accommodation may be required at an additional cost to be arranged.

Due to our professional set up, which also includes our own PA and sound engineer, as a guide, the rate for the band would be in the region of £1200-£1500 within the Notts area depending on the time of year. Further afield venues would possibly incur travelling expenses on top of this, worked out at a sensible rate.

However please let us know if you have a particular budget or something specific in mind, and we will always be very willing to discuss this with you, subject to the dates being available in our diary

•How do I book the band?

After agreeing dates and price, we will provisionally reserve your date in our diary. We can secure your booking with a 25% deposit along with a signed contract. The remaining balance is then due 14 days prior to the event

Your deposit is refundable up until 1 month prior to the date of the booking should there be any problems

•What happens on the day?

On average we need around 90 minutes from arrival to being set up and ready. Sound checking is best done without any guests in the room if possible. We normally like to arrive around 2 hours before the start allowing us ample time to set up and get changed.

We are fully self-contained and provide all the PA equipment necessary for your event.

We would also need somewhere at the venue, that we could use for changing, and so that we do not get in the way of your guests etc

•Are you insured?

Yes we hold full Public Liability Insurance, and all our equipment is regularly PAT tested by an NIC/EIC approved tester

•Is there anything else I should know about the band?

We are not a Screaming Rock band!!! We play Funk, Soul and Disco music, ideal to create a great atmosphere and mood for dancing without deafening the audience.

As we are a ‘LIVE’ band, please note that volume levels need to be considered when arranging for us to play at your function. We are aware that some venues have issues with the sound levels of a live band, and therefore it is your responsibility to check beforehand that there are no problems with a full band performing at your location

Our PA equipment is state-of-the-art and provides a very high quality sound. We take great pride in playing our music, so therefore play it to the necessary volume that it should be heard for the maximum enjoyment of your guests!

On the night we perform in one full set, which normally lasts 1 ½ hours. You may want to organise a separate disco for your event to complement our live act, if you feel the need.

We are a 6 piece group, fronted by 2 fantastic female vocalists, and it is our job to provide you with a very high standard of live music to keep your guests dancing the night away!

We are a 100% fully LIVE band, and unlike many other acts these days, we do not use backing tracks whatsoever! We take great pride in delivering

a superb, energetic, spontanious yet highly polished performance, and feel that the use of such 'aids' to improve our sound, is fake and insults the

intelligence of the audience.

Professionalism is key as far as we are concerned, so once you have booked Ginny Brown & the Collective for your special day or event, you can rest assured that all your live entertainment will be taken care of 100%, so you do not have to worry about a thing!

Due to our professional set up, which also includes our own PA equipment and sound engineer, as a guide, our rates start from £770 up to £1500 depending on distance to venue, amount of time that the band would have to be set up pre event, availability and the time of year. Please note that for certain distances and/or certain dates of the year the price may be more than £1500.

On the night we can perform in one full set, which normally lasts 2 hours. Or you can have two 60 minute sets if you prefer. You may also want to organise a separate disco for your event to complement our live act, if you feel the need. Alternatively you can use our equipment to play your own play list through on your personal PC/phone etc. A small charge will be levied for this requirement. Also recorded music can only be played for a maximum of

30 minutes after our final live set. If you do require it to be played for longer, then this must be agreed by e-mail prior to the date, and there maybe an addtional charge for this facility
